Miro review.
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I'm an art student. Right now, I started using Miro for group projects as a tool for mind mapping and idea-solving platforms. Our project contains social issues, robotics, manufacturing processes, and concept-making. All these aspects are difficult to do individually. Also all of the information and ideas we are making have to be available at all times and on all our devices. I work on Miro mainly at school or on my personal PCs, but I also have it installed on my phone. The only issue is some operations on mobile phones, but that's understandable because it's definitely difficult to optimize. I mainly use the plain space to put up words and associations to join with lines afterward. Then, I used more complex geometry and visual styling to make it usable. This semester, I'm actually presenting one part of the Miro project as a process-making installation. There is one thing I would like to add. I didn't find out how to make the lines bigger than the limit. You can't stretch text or add custom font size, but for the lines, there probably isn't a right way to do it. I'm still finding new ways to use Miro for my projects.
Pros
- Mind mapping.
- Organizing thoughts.
- Geometry thinking.
Cons
- Mobile app controlling and optimizations.
- Making lines bigger than the maximum limit.
- Sometimes using the geometric organizer feels hard.
- Improved productivity.
- Ability to quickly share complex ideas.
- Ability to work from anywhere on complex projects.
It allowed us to share our ideas from anywhere at any time. People in our group work at a different pace than we do. I can present complex ideas to my supervisors, and it's easy for my colleagues to add information to already-made maps.
