Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use it for a variety of different use cases. Miro serves as an easy central point of reference for mapping and process and collaboration within the organisation.

1. Running consultation workshops with several stakeholders.
2. Mapping out business flows and project plans.
3. Mapping out data architecture and data flows.
4. Brainstorming and ideation and just making sense of complicated topics or thoughts (basically mind mapping)

Pros

  • Collaborative workshopping where several different users can contribute to the same boards and provide ideas and feedback for various consultation pieces.
  • Providing a simple tool for visualising complicated concepts and flows in simple flow chart diagrams.
  • The simple copy and paste function (alt + drag) makes it super easy to ideate and organise ideas and concepts together.

Cons

  • When connecting components with arrows/lines, it's a little bit cumbersome to have to always go back and select the line option after each line. Usually I like to create the components, organise them and then link them.
  • Sometimes the send to back / bring to front functionality doesn't seem to work properly and the colors are a bit off.
  • It has made collaboration and consultation processes much more efficient and centralised.
  • reduced the need for different visualisation software installed on individual laptops.
  • it has improved productivity by enabling visual organisation of thoughts and ideas and concepts into visual logic maps
It's a simple tool that does what it needs to do well. The learning curve is minimal to do what you need to do and the additional components and add-ons are a bonus for extra functionality.
1. The frames are a great way to organise and collect things for export as well as segment out the boards.
2. the ability to copy/paste images is great for collecting knowledge and other snippets together in one place to keep it simple.
3. Just the standard copy and paste function is the best. love it
It's definitely made things easier.

It's my go to for diagrams, flow charts, mind mapping and running consultation workshops and getting feedback. usually this would require something like visio, a mind mapping tool and probably powerpoint and manual note collection so it's certainly made things easier in one package.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

It's great for mind mapping and organising your thoughts or project planning and consultation workshops and just working visually like a giant whiteboard.

its not great for documentation or instances where what you need is text heavy and clear structured documentation. It wouldn't replace the core functions of word/excel but could potentially replace powerpoint as a tool
