Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro is used in various ways in our business, from quickly running workshops and white-boarding exercises, storing and analysing research, running team ceremonies such as retrospectives to using a Miro board as a to do list or kanban board or planning out our product roadmap for the next quarter. Miro allows us to quickly spin up a template thast gets you started, saving you precious time in the process.

Pros

  • Running workshops
  • White-boarding exercises
  • Research analysis
  • Roadmap planning

Cons

  • Improving Ai capabilities
  • Improving templates to better suit my needs
  • Better organisation and management of files
  • Has helped us reduce the amount of tools we use as Miro is able to do more these days
  • Saves us time by using templates
  • Helps keep a distributed team connected
  • Makes planning easier
Miro is pretty well designed and is for the most part easy to use, especially if you're somewhat tech savvy or technically minded. Miro does a good job of keeping the user interface simple so as to not overwhelm users too much, so most people should be able to find their way around the tool.
I think Miro's massive catalog of templates helps me a lot as it saves me from the doom of starting from a blank canvas. I'm also able to use it as a way to communicate some of my ideas to some of my colleagues in other teams to make sure we're on the same page.
Over the last few years or so, Miro has seemingly added more and more capabilities where they were lacking before. This has meant that where before we had to use a different tool for technical flow charts or keeping track of projects, we can now do that easily within Miro. This means that Miro has helped consolidate our tech stack.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro has been great at allowing us as a distributed product team to be able to collaborate on research, designs, workshops, team ceremonies and product planning. It's also a great tool that helps facilitate better communication between teams for example when you need to explain a complex concept or idea, it's much easier done when you can illustrate it.

I wouldn't use Miro for things like high fidelity designing or prototyping, or the final place for project management as there are better tools that specialise in those areas.
