Miro is the new way to perform collaborative process modeling workshops
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I primarily use Miro to conduct process modeling workshops where we collectively define existing processes, redesign exisiting process, or design completely new processes. The tool is very user friendly so it makes collaborating on these types of workshops easy when working with groups that are not collocated.
Pros
- BPMN 2.0 diagraming
- Defining RACI tables
- Collaborating in workshops with people who are not collocated
Cons
- If Miro had the ability to define objects used in process models (such as a system or database) that could be called upon in other processes housed on other boards it would make it easier to ensure processes are referencing the same objects.
- The ability to access a defined drop down list of predefined objects when created an object in a process model (mainly for software and databases)
- The ability to use AI to map out relations between objects that have been defined in process models across multiple boards
- Unfortunately, this has not been measured and I can't speak on it
The process modeling tool sets and the AI
Miro is so much more user friendly than our current process modeling software that we use to document our enterprise architecture, that users will trend twords using Miro and the results will not be transferred to our formal tool the majority of the time.
