Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro as a way to visualize and present our work, similar to presentation software as well as communication to facilitate easier collaboration and approval with leadership. The business problems the product addresses is visualization, particularly complex topics like a decision tree or a decision making framework.

Pros

  • Visualization - visually compelling elements
  • Ease of use - easier to use other software like Figma

Cons

  • Products like Canva and Figma have even more complex functionality
  • Time efficiency - Miro has really helped enable easier brainstorming and collaboration across multiple stakeholders, reducing our brainstorm time
Miro is quite intuitive to use especially as a new user and it's simple to navigate as well compared to other software. I'm newer to the organization and it's been easier to onboard onto
I haven't used it as much in my day to day work but I intend on using it to help communicate my brand architecture and positioning work, where there's multiple layers to communicate - Miro would be perfect in displaying the different elements simultaneously. It's also been helpful for onboarding and learning what other team members have been up to as some of my teammates use Miro to show the impact of their work during our all hands meetings.
Yes I definitely use Figma and Figjam less since my organization uses Miro more and it's a bit easier for daily use, especially as a non designer.
  • Figma
  • Canva
  • Adobe InDesign
I really appreciate that Miro is really non-designer-friendly which makes it easier to onboard onto and navigate. I do like Canva for more building more specific aesthetics and marketing materials whereas Miro is more for functional collaboration

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is well suited for building a visualization of a complex concept that sometimes presentation software can be limiting for, i.e. a decision tree. I'd use Miro to build a visual to share more complicated ideas, especially in a larger forum or presentation. I'd also use Miro for larger scale collaboration, like a brainstorm or during a dogfood session when we're trying to capture ideas from a bigger group of people
