Overall Satisfaction with Mixpanel

We use Mixpanel at Chartbeat across many different departments: Product, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Business Operations. It allows us to see which products/features are most heavily used. This gives us insight into what we're doing well and what needs improvement. Feedback from users directly from their actions are very helpful for us!

Pros

  • I like the visuals / graphs.
  • Mixpanel has a lot of capabilities / filters.
  • Mixpanel's team is very responsive and will work closely with you on getting you set up for success.

Cons

  • Mixpanel has generally been good for me. No major complaints.
  • Mixpanel has helped our product teams understand what they should improve / tweak in our product. Numbers don't lie so when usage is below expectations, it drives them to action!
I wasn't directly part of the evaluation for Amplitude but I think we went with Mixpanel because of the price.
Mixpanel is great once it's fully set up -- it'll give you insight on how your product / features are performing. Understanding what is most used and what is not as popular is important. It'll give you / your team more of a product direction. It'll definitely take a lot of work (e.g. tagging) before you can get the most out of Mixpanel though.
