NAKIVO - Surprisingly Awesome
Overall Satisfaction with NAKIVO Backup & Replication
NAKIVO is used to backup our VMware systems, and we have it installed at a number of customer sites doing the same thing. Compared to our old system, NAKIVO just works. It's easy to setup, it's easy to use, and it's ridiculously reliable.

- The different product versions are oddly named for what they provide.
- Some enterprise features are not yet supported on the virtual appliance running under VMware.
- We have high confidence in our backups now.
- NAKIVO is a "set it and forget it" kind of solution. I don't have to be checking it daily to make sure it works. We still monitor it, but it's much more passive now.
- Veeam Backup & Replication and Unitrends Recovery Series Backup Appliance
NAKIVO is far more reliable than Unitrends, and the support is far better. Veeam is super difficult to configure properly and while it does like everything, it doesn't do anything very well. Nakivo also seems to transfer data faster than both of these.
