Overall Satisfaction with NetSuite ERP

We use NetSuite ERP for all aspects of our business. We have our website integrated so that as soon as our customer places the order everything is handled through NetSuite ERP from collecting the payment to the PO being created, placing the order with the vendor to the product being delivered to the customer. We are able to even track in NetSuite ERP when there is a claim of the damage and ensuring the customer gets either the replacement product or a refund.

Pros

  • Detailed financial reporting
  • Keeping orders/sales organized allows us to enhance our customer service
  • Order Management - streamlined our ordering process
  • Manage our online product
  • Handling/receiving of payments

Cons

  • In my experience, the refund process is very cumbersome. Depending on whether the product has shipped or not determines how to process the refund.
  • Ability or lack of ability to customize the view of certain screens
  • Ability to alter the behind the scenes scripts.
  • NetSuite ERP has not positively impacted us due to our system was not implemented correctly.
  • It seems as though the only option in order for us to be able to have our system to be correct is for everything to be wiped clean and start over. Which unfortunately is not an option.
I have pretty much explained this, we were not setup correctly from the beginning. In my opinion, [...] did not assign the correct people to assist in the implementation. Due to this we have some many issues with the scripts either running incorrectly or not running at all. We are not able to accurately rely on our financial statements and revenue arrangement.

I feel that I have a slight negative experience with NetSuite ERP due to how we were initially setup. Oracle recommend a certain consulting firm to assist with the migration and unfortunately, in our opinion, they were incompetent so our whole system has been setup incorrectly. This has caused a lot of financial reporting to be inaccurate and our revenue is not being captured correctly.
