Overall Satisfaction with Newswire

I've been using Newswire for a little over two years now at various companies. Their tool is a lifesaver when it comes to easy-to-use press release distribution and really beats manually emailing out larger releases. I typically use it for distributing announcements or large-scale updates that require comprehensive tracking.
  • Tracking
  • Distribution
  • Reporting
  • Customer service
  • Sends way too many "just checking in" emails
  • More in depth link reporting
  • Better integration with Meltwater
  • Time saved
  • Increased impressions
  • Top-tier distribution
It's the best press release distribution tool out there, but that doesn't mean they don't have room for improvement. I wish the reporting had a few more features, and the link click reporting tool is a bit underwhelming for the price point they charge. Customer service is excellent, and they occasionally offer promo codes for press release package purchases. I can't see myself using any other distribution tool.
I looked at eReleases, EIN Presswire, PR Newswire, and Business Wire. None of them offered as much as Newswire does, and their pricing/potential contract terms weren't transparent. I really hate when I'm forced to sit through a phone call before finding out the price of a software tool. Newswire was the most feature-filled and offered simple pricing.

Do you think Newswire delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Newswire's feature set?

Yes

Did Newswire live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Newswire go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Newswire again?

Yes

If you need wide-spread distribution of press releases, Newswire is the one to go with. I feel so much less stressed out when sending a press release using Newswire. Buying a bulk package of releases is the most economic way to go, though, as it can be pricy. If you're only sending press releases to a handful of areas, you'd be better suited by a different product.
