Overall Satisfaction with Notepad++

Currently we are using Notepad++ as a code editor to build xsl stylesheets for a new peace of electronic data interchange software. It is currently being used by the information technology department. It has completely replaced the windows built in notepad for our team as it is so flexible. It mainly addresses flexibility when working with different file types.
  • Multi Window and Instances
  • The added plugins make it an even more powerful tool
  • Flexibility
  • Can become cluttered
  • Look and feel could do with modernizing but does not affect functionality
  • Auto Completion when Coding
  • Add Multi Cursor
  • Free tool rather than something like Visual Studio
  • Extremely Flexible
  • Light weight program to deploy
Both visual studio code and Notepad++ are powerful code editors/text editors. So it is hard to pick a favorite as they both have upsides and downsides. In this case Notepad++ I love the plugins that come with it and the ability to get more from other open sources. In general the flexibility in settings on Notepad++ are amazing and vast I would say you can configure it to fit many needs of any business.

Notepad++ is an excellent program to help any person working with different file types or even a programmer of some sorts. It is a great code editor. It is also great with working with different file types like JSON and XML files. The ability to add plugins into Notepad++ makes formatting code and file types into human readable formats.
