Overall Satisfaction with Notepad++

I think everybody uses Notepad++. It's a good tool on Windows. All my text and csv files are viewed and edited on this tool. It's easy to install and use and no brainer. However, there are so many features that require some digging and exploring. They really make the work easy.

I mainly use Notepad++ on windows. EditPlus was very good at regular expressions. I felt it was better than Notepad++. On Mac, sublime is a good tool for the same purpose.

Yes

I use it for text editing and viewing. I also use it for performing search and replace using regular expressions. It's very intuitive for bulk tasks. I use it to build queries based on a list of fields. I also generate some code from the tool by using search replace.

I actually do not know this. I did not have any experience with that.
