Overall Satisfaction with OneDrive

OneDrive is being used to collaboratively edit Office documents (Word and Powerpoint specifically).
  • Windows/Office integration
  • Easy to register/share links
  • Cheap to get storage with promotions and other softwares
  • Often slower network than other alternatives
  • Very troublesome to merge changes (Word/PowerPoint)
  • Helped our team with creating documents
  • We lost chunks of Word due to bad merging problems
OneDrive is the only way to use Office on the cloud with proper collaboration tools and version control. Using Google Docs or Dropbox will force you to give up on certain features from a fully fledged office package.
Visual Studio.NET
OneDrive is the only solution that allows you to use Microsoft Office software collaboratively. Yet, it is often slow and unresponsive, even making you lose data when multiple people edit the same document together. If you don't need a lot of MS Office features, there are better cloud solutions, e.g. Google Docs, that make collaboration easier but offer less editing features than Office and OneDrive.
