Overall Satisfaction with OneSource Virtual

OneSource Virtual is being used by our Payroll department for fulfillment in the US and Canada. OneSource Virtual helps to print checks/advices/W2's, file EE and ER taxes, money movement for payroll, processing of garnishments, and HR service center. OneSource Virtual is also our partner for myFlexPay, otherwise known as earned wage access.
  • Handles fulfillment very well-settlement is on time, along with printing of checks/advices
  • Handles processing of garnishments and answers timely
  • Overall customer service center is efficient in handling questions.
  • More flexibility in service center offerings-a more hybrid menu of services would be great-not all organizations fit into one mold for services
  • Taxes features-big wish for more features with tax app service...ability for system to notify of tax fallouts that need to be reviewed. It takes a lot of time to comb through entire tax file to find outliers.
  • More training of team members-specifically around taxes. We have had a hard time with a few members just not understanding basic tax items and other times have had to explain what to do to solution the issue to the OneSource Virtual tax person.

  • Leveraging OneSource Virtual's garnishment processing services reduced overheard and allowed me to repurpose a position I had in my department just for processing garnishments.
  • Not having to push tax files to the vendor is a huge time savings as well-we would spend all day producing files to push over to our previous vendor.
  • Ease of processing our Canadian payroll-we are done with payroll in 1 hour.
Prior to our implementation of Workday and use of OneSource Virtual, our fulfillment provider was using a very outdated system that could not handle complex things. We had a hard time with any projects, especially ones that required quick turnaround, and often had to customize something on our side to make things work because their system simply could not accommodate.
Overall, we receive great customer support from OneSource Virtual. The only real hiccup we have had has been around taxes and response times. We had a longer than expected lag in cases regarding notifications from the IRS-which are very important and have to be answered timely. We were able to resolve with SDM but didn't feel that we should have had to escalate.
I believe OneSource Virtual does fulfillment services very well and I like that we have a dedicate team. I appreciate that when we email or call, we know the team that's on the other end. I do feel OneSource Virtual has improvement to be made in the tax department. It is great that we do not have to push files for quarter and year end (huge time savings) but I feel the team could be much sharper in their knowledge and service.
