Overall Satisfaction with OnPage

As an Oracle DBA along with fellow team members at a major university, we are expected to be on an on-call rotation to support users. In prior years, we had to carry bulky and unreliable pagers to be used to notify one or all of our team members if there was an issue that needed to be addressed. With the advent of smart phone technology, the OnPage system has been a lifesaver so easy to use and reliable. I would highly recommend IT professionals utilize the capabilities of OnPage technology.
  • notifies one on a timely basis to allow rapid response to a call
  • lists all team member users who have OnPage access allowing me to redirect or share response
  • OnPage is more reliable and secure than traditional pagers.
  • OnPage’s mass notification system helps enhance emergency communication management
  • Rapid notification of an issue and fast response
  • Deliver critical messages even when the recipient is without cellular coverage.
  • great technical support from OnPage
  • Reliable service
  • Eliminated the concern that on-call personnel were not notified of an issue at all or on a timely basis
  • The reasonable cost, ease of use and reliability reassured management that any issues arising would be handled quickly
  • Users disliked carrying the bulky, unreliable and battery operated pagers. Today all users carry cell phones and can easily install and manage OnPage software
Not familiar with any competitor's product. Relied on referral from other institutions pleased with OnPage.

The messages are much easier to read, and return phone calls can be done with a simple touch of the phone number on the phone screen. The clear and concise messaging far outshine the traditional pagers. Recent payroll failure alerted Oracle DBAs rapidly and with clear messaging allowing the DBA on call to address the problem on a timely basis. Payroll failed due to a space issue on one of the servers.
