Ease of Setup and Use
Overall Satisfaction with Ooma Office
Ooma office provides the phones and VOIP for our company phone needs. We have both physical phones and services through their mobile app where our office can both send and receive calls and messages. The service is internet based and does not require any hard line installations. We are a construction company of about 75 employees.
Pros
- Mobile phone app
- VOIP phone setup and connection
- Easy to setup and get started
- Customized office phone solutions
Cons
- The service is not as good as expected even with a high speed internet connection
- Calls are dropped
- customer service and changes on the account can be difficult to make
- For the price, the investment is minimal when setting up an office phone solution,
- we have used this and their mobile features instead of purchasing company phones for our staff.
- Reduced cost instead of having a mobile phone plan
We used Spectrum Business phones before switching to Ooma Office, and the difference in overall usability has been night and day. With Spectrum, the installation process was frustrating — it felt overly complicated, and getting support when we needed it was a constant headache. Even though it was a VoIP system too, it never really felt user-friendly, and we spent way too much time trying to troubleshoot basic setup and call handling issues. When we made the move to Ooma, it was a huge relief. The system was incredibly easy to install, and within a short time, our entire team was up and running with minimal hassle. The platform is intuitive, the mobile app works great, and most of the essential features are simple to manage even without tech expertise. Ooma has made our day-to-day communications smoother and more efficient overall. That said, it’s not perfect. One area where we’ve been a little disappointed is with call reliability — we do occasionally experience dropped calls, which can be frustrating. It’s not constant, but it’s something we’ve noticed and are hoping improves with time or updates.Even with that issue, we still prefer Ooma over Spectrum by a long shot.
