Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely Content Management System

We use it for Managing content and developing custom solution for solving different business needs.
  • Managing Content
  • Schedule Jobs - which runs and execute some periodic functions for CMS.
  • Multilanguage
  • Multisite support
  • CMS 11 to CMS 12 Upgrades need more documentation
  • Net core specific configurations for Opti CMS 12 projects
  • Customizing UI is little confusing as I was looking for customizing existing Admin tab options.
  • It saved the content assembler efforts while migrating from old site to Optimizely CMS.
  • Developer learning curve for basic feature is short.
  • Less training needed for QA or UI person to onboard on team.
I used Optimizely Find and CMS only.
Great question. We got a project to migrate from other CMS to Optimizely CMS we were completely new just had a week time to explore and to my surprise it was easy to grasp the basic concept and mostly we learned on the job through blogs and official docs.
It's a good way to diversify, however it all depends on personal liking of architect which CMS framework to use. However I personally like Optimizely CMS as it's easy to learn and develop.

Do you think Optimizely Content Management System delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Optimizely Content Management System's feature set?

Yes

Did Optimizely Content Management System live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Optimizely Content Management System go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Optimizely Content Management System again?

Yes

Its user experience is best to my experience compared to other CMS, so I prefer Optimizely for Content Assembler and authors. However, when it comes to Optimizely CMS 12 which only supports ASP.NET Core 6 and above, many Optimizely features need code tweaking and is not properly documented so as of now I discourage CMS 12 for live project. I referred official course from Optimizely academy and there too the course is not updated for CMS 12. The exercises still use CMS 11 and asp.net framework.
