Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely Content Management System

We are using to revamp/rebrand our external-facing .org site.
Business problems: outdated look/functionality, less responsive to mobile needs
Scope of use: wholesale change/redo on entire site. It is a massive undertaking.
Future state: we will be using to redo our intranet site (only visible to employee)
  • Rapid changes
  • Ease of use with content blocks
  • Easy to learn/implement
  • Optimizely Academy classes were outstanding
  • Faster time to preview changes
  • An onscreen indicator of any changes ... for example: I accidently click in a body of text and accidentally create a type or unintended deletion.
  • too early to see right now, we just launched 20ish days ago
  • Developers are reporting no major problems/bugs so far
It is mostly seamless across all use cases so far. No major issues, which is a relief.
This has been a slow rollout. We are a large organization that recently acquired another healthcare system, which upped our headcount by nearly 25%. There are multiple efforts going on at the same time, which leads to a "build the plane as we fly it" feeling ... real or not.
Better overhaul applicability to our business. As a relative newcomer to the healthcare industry, it has been a steeper than expected learning curve for me. I can't say it enough ... Optimizely makes it easy to do the work. The hardest portion of the changeover has been the work to nail down the processes, procedures, ownership levels, permissions ("only my team can do xyz..."), and general fatigue from change.

Do you think Optimizely Content Management System delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Optimizely Content Management System's feature set?

Yes

Did Optimizely Content Management System live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Optimizely Content Management System go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Optimizely Content Management System again?

Yes

Well-suited: it is easy to use. Perhaps have a "kickoff in a box" kit for teams implementing it for the first time ... basically use your experience and superior product knowledge to ease our (the customer) learning curve.

Less appropriate: cant really think of any other than our own internal "who can do what" permission levels

Optimizely Content Management System Training

Answered in a previous sections (sorry!) ... the Academy was great. The in-person virtual training was outstanding.

Optimizely Content Management System Support

I attended multiple trainings/tutorials early in the process. The vendor-supplied content about Optimizely was engaging for users/attendees (I often analyze training content, compliance programs, governance plans), which helps our OCM people by having good "word of mouth" about the product long before a rollout ever happens. I actually when the user-focused portion of the Optimizely Academy twice in 2022 to ensure I had a grasp on operability and to be able to support the training and OCM efforts.

Sorry cannot recall ... but I don't think we did.
We brought in an external training team for end users. The end users did all the Academy courses, then attended virtual sessions. This vendor team (not 100% sure if Optimizely employees, or just consultants) was great. The did initial training, but then turned the sessions to troubleshooting, FAQs, and end user support. Basically a user could show up and say "I have a problem while doing xyz in Optimizely, how do we ..."
