Overall Satisfaction with Optimizely Content Management System

Almost all our web sites are hosted with Optimizely Content Management System

Pros

  • Page tree is intuitive
  • Most extensions and tools are fairly easy to find
  • Page load time is good

Cons

  • I think the cms interface is outdated and clunky
  • In my opinion, the wyziwyg on page editing option is useless
  • The all properties view can be confusing to users
  • Our specific campaign pages are effective
I wasn't involved in the initial set up but I can say migrating to Optimizely Content Management System 12 from 11 was a massive headache for us.
I think the interface is awkward, outdated and clunky. Younger folks expect a much smoother, slicker, intuitive experience.
I think the security and stability of Optimizely Content Management System exceeds that of its competitive platforms.

I think it works well if you have multiple web properties with a shared code base. Tends to become bloated if you try working with different code bases.
In my opinion, not a good option if you want to support multiple languages-very hard to find a compatible translation service and implement it.
I think migration of sites to a different Optimizely Content Management System instance is challenging
