Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a service based cloud platform that our team is using for a chunk of our sites build in Python. There are some 20-30 sites that use this service mostly oriented towards the database storage and file system storage as these sites are pretty content heavy in nature. That being said, the traffic on these sites are really high and this is where Oracle Cloud Infrastructure helps with their high availability and concurrency.
  • Our sites are pretty heavy on the content site per page, but Oracle Cloud Infrastructure performs excellently when serving them up to our clients i.e. high availability
  • Efficiency of Oracle Cloud Infrastructureis very high and the performance is always at an average of 99%. The 1% being the occasional maintenance
  • Monitoring system provided by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is to the point and comprehensive
  • There is a bit of learning curve. But I guess this is true for any service
  • Could be a little cost effective. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is really expensive on an enterprise level in my opinion.
  • The Cloud Support sometimes decrease the priority of open tickets to increase the SLA I beleive. Now that's bad, in my opinion.
  • Our sites are always available to our customers and perform efficiently
  • They provide automatic upgrade to databases if we are under the allotted site quota
  • Transaction time between our sites and third part APIs are handled efficiently
  • One negative would be the cost part I believe. Oracle Cloud is really expensive in my opinion.
In one liner, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is second only to AWS in terms of cost effectiveness. But availability wise and performance wise it is at par with Amazon Web Services. Acquia Cloud doesn't have much comparison against Oracle Cloud Infrastructured as the later is better in almost all ways possible. But if you are looking for something reliable which keeps your sites available and performing efficiently for almost all the time then Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is your answer.

Do you think Oracle Cloud Infrastructure delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's feature set?

Yes

Did Oracle Cloud Infrastructure live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Oracle Cloud Infrastructure again?

Yes

We are using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure for 20 to 30 sites and all of them very high in transactions and content oriented. The views per site per day each of these websites generate range between 5000-8000. But using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is really up to the mark because we have not seen much performance oriented or website availability oriented issues.
