Oracle Linux is used as the underlying operating system for the following appliances: Oracle Exadata, Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, Oracle Big Data Appliance, Oracle Exalytics, and Oracle Database Appliance.
Pros
- Enterprise - class performance.
- Mission - critical reliability.
- Availability and serviceability.
Cons
- Susceptible to rootkit attacks.
- Increased Confidence
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and CentOS Linux
Oracle Linux with little effort (adjustments) can enhance the Oracle DB Performance. And most of the Oracle Products are tested under it.
