Overall Satisfaction with Oracle Warehouse Builder

We're using Oracle Warehouse Builder to offload data from Oracle databases, to transform and to load into operational reporting environment (operational data store) which is an another Oracle Database.
Oracle Warehouse Builder helps us to add meaning into operational raw data and to perform initial transformations for business users' requirements.
  • Easy transformation.
  • Easy implementation from Oracle to Oracle systems.
  • Ease of usage and easy to learn.
  • Starting component of metadata management.
  • User experience.
  • Supporting newer technologies.
  • Ease of operation.
  • Oracle Warehouse Builder is coming out of the box with Oracle Database Release 11G and it is free to use.
  • Oracle Warehouse Builder Enterprise Edition can be bought to extend its capabilities.
  • Oracle Warehouse Builder is coming to the end of life, so you need to be careful about selecting.
Yes - I am a member of the Independent Oracle User Group, New York Oracle User Group, ODTUG, Colombia Oracle Users Group, Costa Rica Oracle Users Group, Ecuador Oracle User Group, Grupo de Usuarios Oracle El Salvadore, Oracle User Group Guatemala, Oracle User Group Mexico, Panama Oracle User Group, Azerbeidzjan Oracle User Group, Bulgarian Oracle User Group, German Oracle User Group, Oracle Gebruikersclub Holland, Oracle User Group Finland, Oracle User Group Norway, Slovenian Oracle User Group SIOUG, TROUG Turkish Oracle User Group, Turkey Oracle User Group, UK Oracle User Group and All India Oracle User Group.

I am annually attending Oracle User Group conferences and one of my favorite topic is 'Migration Steps from OWB to ODI to ODIPC' and I share my experiences with conference attendees.
Depending on investment, I would prefer Oracle Data Integrator, since it complies with all versions of all types of databases including Big Data, Hadoop and NoSQL environment as well as the cloud and is the strategic heterogenous data integration product of Oracle, as it is declared in statement of direction.
If you plan to upgrade your databases to newer versions, you need to migrate your Oracle Warehouse Builder jobs to Oracle Data Integrator (fastest and easiest way) or an other ETL tool, because Oracle Warehouse Builder came to an end and does not support newer versions of databases as it is described in statement of direction.
There will be no major releases of Oracle Warehouse Builder (latest
release is 11GR2 -, but bug resolving and minor releasing will continue.
