Overall Satisfaction with Pardot

Pardot was used as a marketing tool to help manage marketing messaging and lead nurturing. It was used by both the marketing and sales departments to help create customer profiles and segmentation as well as to send lead nurture emails as well as auto responder emails. Finally, we used their forms on our landing pages to help do campaign tracking.
  • Pardot is extremely intuitive and easy to implement and start using out of the box with little customization.
  • Their customer service and chat features are extremely useful/helpful
  • Their lead scoring and grading system makes defining "hot" leads infinitely easier for our sales team.
  • Does not integrate natively with all CRMs
  • The standard email templates were a little clunky
  • The form creator tool isn't very customizable
  • Faster turn around time for the marketing objectives due to time saved on custom development
  • Increased the the work output by the marketing department due to increased agility
  • Those things combined lead to time saved and costs lowered.
Pardot is definitely a great solution for any small to medium sized marketing department that is looking to get more organized. If you are looking for something with more customization and is more advanced then I would go with a more robust software like Eloqua. If you are not as techy and don't have the development budget then this is the software for you.
The only reason that they might not renew Pardot is that they are switching CRMs and if Pardot doesn't integrate natively they might switch over to a new system. Other than that it has been a very valuable asset to the marketing department and does as much work as a full time employee for us.
Pardot would be well suited by a small to medium sized business who is looking for a more simple solution or piece of software to help them organize and manage all of their marketing efforts in one place. I would not recommend it for a company that is looking for a lot of customization or flexibility.
