Overall Satisfaction with Paychex Flex

We use it for payroll and W2 within in our dental office. Very user friendly for payroll use, and appreciate how fast something updates in my employees information.

Pros

  • Representatives - always accessible and helpful the first time I have an issue or concern.
  • Quick - the turn around time from processing payroll during working hours is fast and easy to access.
  • Updating employee information is super fast and is updated immediately, so no downtime when their pay changes, tax info changes or when updating a bank account. (No one likes for the check not to be direct deposited!)

Cons

  • When I am writing bonus checks, I do not want them to go direct deposited, but I also do not need them to be sent to me since my owner signs the checks that I write - I only process them through Paychex Flex for taxes to be accurate. (most likely user error)
  • There is a lot of information on the Home Page - too much to look at for my eye. A lot of the information I do not need or use - would like a way for the user to be able to customize their own Home Page.
  • It takes me less time to do payroll and since I do not have to allocate 401K information that also saves time for me to do other management roles within our office structure.
Paychex stacks up way higher. Again, the cost is our main reason for leaving Paycor.
As stated before, if my individual rep is unavailable there is always someone to speak to - I do not remember a time that I did not have all issues resolved on the first time I called.

Well suited for small or large companies to use. The cost for us is the main reason we left Paycor for Paychex. And, I love that I am able to speak with someone even if my own individual rep is not currently available.
