Overall Satisfaction with Paycor
I was a former user of the Nimble Schedule, which then was bought out and became Ximble Schedule, which was then bought out by Paycor. I started my own business and decided to give Paycor a try as they operated Ximble. My first experience was the lack of communication with this company. They divide out your progression for onboarding with their company to several departments with numerous other people. Response time is slow at best and the ability to reach out to supervisors when the "specialist" fails to return calls or emails is impossible. Many employees here might be decent, but our experience was and still is a terrible one. Our system still does not function properly, yet we are still being billed for a full and working product. I have expressed my frustration numerous times only to be given lip service about how they are working on it, and thank you for being patient, but then it never gets fixed. Their phone number for assistance shuts down at 8 pm eastern time, so if you experience problems with their software, which you will, you will be left out on your own to try to fix the issue until they reopen the next day. Unfortunately, I have been met with more "I don't know" and "I'll send this to our team to review" when calling in with issues and problems. I have several unresolved problems and it seems absolutely no one knows what they are doing. It's very obvious they have no employee oversight, they have lazy or uninformed employees, and most management itself is as inept as the employee who has no idea how to do their job. I recommend HIGHLY you STAY AWAY from PAYCOR. Our company still has employees who cannot even use their system to clock in after starting the process to join their company almost 3 months ago! This is unacceptable and the problems keep coming up almost weekly. I am still waiting on an email response from a month ago, then gave up, and figured out how to fix the problem myself. The company still has not responded even after follow-up emails and has no idea how to fix the technical issue with their own software. There is no urgency to help you as a client and the employees are not very knowledgeable. You will be passed around to several different people when calling in until you reach that one person that seemingly does know a little, but they do not have the access or permission to fully work on your account, they then try to reach their "team", but they aren't answering the phone and your problem hits a dead end. This is because these employees appear to all be working from home, so when they don't feel like answering their calls, they just don't. This was my experience in numerous attempts to resolve problems. It took a month of requests before I even had a supervisor call me back. They do not provide contact information for anyone and most people do not know the other employees or their supervisors, so when you do have problems, most employees don't even know who to refer you to. We are leaving Paycor as soon as our new company sets up our account which will take 8-12 weeks. I have no problem admitting I am leaving for ADP. They have a much better onboarding system, payroll system, customer service, as well as actual help when you need it. Not to mention, they actually came down in price to beat Paycor and give us a better deal. You just have to ask and they can do that. Please do not use this company, it is a dumpster fire of problems with seemingly no one around to fix it.

Did implementation of Paycor go as expected?

Would you buy Paycor again?
No
- Caused our company a $5,000 net loss per week for inability to use the product for 2 months during botched setup shutting down operations during this time
- Increased timeline for what appear to be simple product implimentations
- Created complicated scenarios to accomplish basic tasks
- Created negative employee experiences with difficulty using software to track time I
- The company does not verify banking information on direct deposits, if a mistake is made, you will be charged a return fee for the employee incorrectly entering banking info.
Our HR and/or payroll team is spending more time than we did previously due to Paycor. - No time savings has been realized as we are forced to manually create reports and documents to do what we used to do in minutes on our previous system. Their software is not capable of doing most tasks without you actually setting it up on a system that takes more time than to do it by hand.
- RUN Powered by ADP®
ADP by a long shot out preforms everything that Paycor attempts to do. Must better functionality with customer service and ease of use.
