Paycor Listens!
Overall Satisfaction with Paycor
As a one-person HR department, Paycor has streamlined many of my tasks into one easy-to-use platform. Our organization leverages all aspects of Paycor, from onboarding to offboarding and everything in between. This includes I-9 verification, benefits with EDI feeds, 401(k) transmittal, payroll, time and attendance, PTO, performance management, task tracking, year-end processing (W-2s and 1095s), workflows, and offboarding. Additionally, I track employee certifications in Paycor. For time tracking, we use geofencing, which has helped hold employees accountable. Employees enjoy the app, and for those less tech-savvy, we provide iPads for time punching. Another valuable aspect of Paycor is its customer service. I can access their knowledge base for tasks and share relevant resources with employees. When I need additional help, I can open a case, chat, or call. The customer service team is knowledgeable, understands my needs, and responds promptly. I attended Paycor Connect+ in 2023 and plan to attend again in 2024. Paycor’s partnerships with other vendors have been beneficial, and I’m glad we made the switch—it has truly helped me manage my day-to-day tasks efficiently.
Pros
- Benefits with EDI Feeds
- Customer Service to Assist with Questions
- Payroll-I can work in multiple payrolls at a time and run a supplemental whenever necessary. I can also import deductions or earnings for a large group of employees
- Training-Virtual, Webinars, Pre-recorded
Cons
- I would like to have the impersonate user back. This is beneficial when an employee (managers) has a question on something they are seeing or not seeing. If I can impersonate, I can usually figure it out. Without this, we must schedule a meeting or exchange emails with screenshots.
- Recruiting is the one piece I am not using in Paycor. This is because we would have to pay a third party to conduct reference checks. Our current provider has the option of clicking and email the reference form to the reference without having to send it from my personal email or from having to spend the time calling the reference.
- Reports are difficult at times. However, I think this is because Paycor is still updating this section.
- Paycor has helped us maintain ACA & 401(k) eligibility. Minimizing compliance risks.
- Paycor has improved the employee experience through the app and iPad capabilities.
- Paycor has increased payroll accuracy.
- Paycor has increased efficiency in processing benefit enrollments.
Our HR and/or payroll team has saved 1-25 hours per month. - Time spent to process payroll has decreased due to the fact that much of the prep work can be done prior to processing payroll. For example, adding bonuses. In addition any modifications to an employee's pay for a future payroll can be done when received. This increases efficiency and decreases errors.
I had a demonstration on Emma for recommending health benefits to employees. We offer three health plans which operate differently from one another. While I was impressed with the capabilities, I am not ready to implement AI for benefits because many employees do not understand benefit terminology. Some of the things that the employee would be responsible for entering may not be entered correctly due to a misunderstanding by the employee. This could result in AI recommending an incorrect plan. At this time, our broker works with employees to recommend the best health plan. I need to learn more about AI before I am ready to implement it into open enrollment.
