Overall Satisfaction with Paylocity

Paylocity processes payroll and taxes

Pros

  • Once payroll is processed, Paylocity is quick to have finalized reporting available online.

Cons

  • Customer service
  • Responding to issues timely
  • Responding to emails timely
  • Not supplying misinformation - "Account Managers" often give different answers to the same question.
  • If Paylocity handles tax payments incorrectly which results in fees: the EMPLOYER is responsible for the expense. Paylocity does not reimburse fees
  • Paylocity will claim to be working on an issue but in fact will be doing nothing. The end result is additional work for the employer due to Paylocity's false claims

Paylocity is a decent software if you never experience any adjustments and you are a perfect payroll processor. In the likely case of needing a correction or adjustment, the customer service is poor. The "Account Manager" that is assigned to you does not call you back in a timely manner. There is not a direct line to reach your designated "Account Manager" so you must call the main operator. Usually they supply inaccurate responses and/or the response varies depending on the operator. Customer service should be better trained to provide clear and accurate answers. When an issue occurs they often times claim to be working on your issue but in reality just say that to get you off the phone. Meanwhile, they are doing absolutely nothing to assist you. They do not care at all about the customer service experience.
