Overall Satisfaction with Pega 7 Platform

It is used by a department for rating customers on a scale of 1-15. It helps the raters to rate a customer using Pega UI at the front end and decisioning at the back end.
  • The tool is user/business friendly to a certain extent.
  • Easy to make small changes to the code in no time.
  • Strategy/decisioning engine has strong analytical capabilities.
  • Handling of null in strategy is an issue.
  • Limited data transformation ability.
  • Limited reporting/visualization capabilities. Would like to see better functioning of VBD.
  • Latency issue.
  • Should focus on improving online training.
  • Requirement gathering and use case upload portal in Pega not always aligned with company's best practices.
  • Reduced the time needed to put in any changes in the system by almost over 50%
  • Reusability of rules and existence of out of box Pega functionalities reduced the development time by 30-40%
  • Overall project implementation efficiency end to end (requirements to production implementation) increased by 30-40%
IBM BPM was purely Java based and was not equipped enough to provide the custom user interface that was required for the project. Pega UI capabilities were stronger and easy to configure in much less time.

Less appropriate: For batch run involving lot of data transformations before the final input variables hit the calculation engine

Well suited: For functionalities that require good user interface with some back ground calculations
