Overall Satisfaction with PitchBook

It’s our go-to for quick valuation work... public comps, precedent transactions, deal multiples, and who paid what in similar situations. For market work, we track sector trends, build benchmarks, and slice the universe by size, geography, and business model. Screening is helpful: we can find a list of strategic and PE buyers, then grab real contact info (emails and phone numbers)

Pros

  • Private company data
  • customer support
  • Contact info

Cons

  • Data source
  • Verified contacts
  • Public market data
  • This is impossible to quantify in our business. The data is excellent and I haven't seen a replacement
Quick response times and the support team is always happy to help
The data quality is generally the best you can find for private companies. On the VC / M&A side, the multiples are almost always a little off so the data can't be used in fairness opinions unless thoroughly vetted. but its as close as you can reasonably expect it to be for everyday work
Great UI - common sense
Far ahead of all competitors on private companies. Far behind S&P and Fact set on public company data
