Overall Satisfaction with Pixabay

I've been using Pixabay for web design and advertising projects for years. They've got tons of free images and videos which you can use commercially without worrying about attribution or licensing. That's huge when you're working on a low budget. The quality is solid and there is a good variety of styles and subjects.

  • Variety of music options has made my videos more engaging
The search features are comprehensive and the previews are useful. I really like that they added an option to filter out generative AI content, which can overwhelm a site like this. Sometimes you just want the real thing, especially if you can generate AI images on your own already like I can!
Pixabay is one of several sites I visit when I need content. I don't necessarily select it over others all the time - sometimes they have the image I want and sometimes I find it elsewhere - but they're always one of the ones I check with when I need media.

In my volunteer work with a local community theater, I've found it very useful to have free images, sound effects, and video clips to use for projects. There's often zero budget allocated for this sort of thing. In my commercial work, I've gotten images for client websites and background music for product videos on Pixabay. It's a good source for this sort of thing outside of the big houses like Adobe or Getty.
