Overall Satisfaction with Planview PPM Pro (formerly Innotas)

Used across the organization to submit requests for projects and a few other specialized requests, and used extensively by the associates in the PMO for project management. Also used to present project portfolio reporting to senior management.
  • Project management
  • Request Management
  • Aggregated reporting
  • As a hosted online system, it is not particularly fast. Improvement has been made in the area of project task management, but task management is still not as fast as we would like.
  • We would like to see the ability to import project tasks from a spreadsheet. Currently, the only import source for project tasks is from a MS Project file.
  • We would like the ability to edit project Resources in the spreadsheet editor and in bulk edit.
  • We would like to be able to add our own fields to the Resources entity.
  • We did not set an ROI goal for our PPM Pro investment.

Would you buy Planview PPM Pro again?

Superior feature set to Clarizen and Workfront. Competative features with Microsoft Project Server at a better price.
PPM Pro is a great project portfolio management system for small to medium sized institutions. It has all of the features that we need and is reasonably priced. Product support is truly outstanding. Planview seems committed to continued development of the product. We manage projects using the traditional waterfall method and PPM Pro works really well for us. Planview has other products for companies that use Agile methods.

One of the reasons we selected PPM Pro was its ability to aggregate and report multiple projects in a dashboard format that did not require product licenses to consume. It does really well at that. The beta version of reports and dashboards seem to be an outstanding improvement. We also wanted a way to track human resource utilization. PPM Pro does a great job of that as well.
