Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Vasion's PrinterLogic to maintain our fleet of 100+ printers across 16 different locations. We use host names, mac address and AD users to assign printers for those who move to different desks and/or locations frequently. It was easy to integrate & setup and it has lifted a lot of the management issues we had in the past with Windows Server.

It is easy to setup, integrate and manage. That's all you can really say, it just works.

Print Management Impact

We used to have constant printer problems when we were deploying with GPO/Windows Print Server. Due to that and the frustrating management requirements and overhead, we started looking for another product. Vasion's PrinterLogic has filled our need and almost completely eliminated the management nightmare we were dealing with before.

This was over 5 years ago that we evaluated the two products, so I don't remember the specific differences. However, I do remember that Vasion's PrinterLogic stood out as a clearly superior product and was also more cost effective, so that is why we chose it.

Likelihood to Recommend

If you need to manage printers across multiple locations, I highly recommend this product. The only time we need to manage the product is when we have user or device changes from our end that have to be adjusted, otherwise it just works and we kind of forget about it.
