Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We used to have to manage our print infrastructure with print servers with limited resources and admin rights. Along a side with that we would have to pair them with GPO which would take forever in adding printers for our users on 1st time boot. With Vasion Print we were able to speed up the process and add office managers or local IT to the management plain to manage these printers for ease of use.

Usability

Vasion Print has saved us time and money on managing printers in our organization. Secure printing was able to make aware to our users that print jobs are important and secure with on demand release. we were also able to add more than just the administrators to manage these printers.

Print Management Impact

Because Vasion Print is cloud based we were able to consolidate 4 print servers to 1 cloud management plane for ease of use globally. we were able to easily view our offline printers that users don't report back to us and securely manage users print job for highly confidential jobs.

Alternatives Considered

The other companies that we tested didn't really stack up as it required a lot more devices to manage the print services. would have been more work to implement than Vasion Print and added more complexity to the environment.

1 good things about Vasion Print is the ability to add printers based on IP ranges so that when a users travels to another office, they can automatically add printers to that office. and when the user leaves that guest office the printers can automatically be removed on that users laptop.
