Overall Satisfaction with Procore

Procore is being used for all of our projects (around 25). We not only manage documents (drawings, specs, RFI's, submittals, etc.), but also all of our purchase orders through Procore. Being a supervisor of employees and projects based out of different offices, it is vital to have instant access to all documents and files throughout the company in the cloud. We now collaborate in a much more efficient way, as well as save time and money.

Pros

  • Document Management
  • Cost Management / Budgeting
  • Very helpful with implementation

Cons

  • Needs integration with all modules in Sage (contracts)
  • Some processes are hard to get used to (cost to completes vs Sage, etc.)
  • Geared a lot towards General Contractors / Owners, so some things will not be useful for all subcontractors
  • It has shortened the time to perform certain tasks and collaborate with team members.
  • It has saved lots of paper and toner.
  • It has made it easier to spot negative trends that can be corrected immediately.
Procore is well suited for medium to large contractors who run multiple projects from different locations. It gives us the ability to see the progress of all projects in real-time. It is probably less appropriate for small contractors or for owners who plan on just using it for one project (unless that project is a large, complex, multi-million or billion dollar undertaking).
