Procore is the best 'Virtual Assistant' on your project!
Overall Satisfaction with Procore
I work as a Project Owner representative, we utilize Procore as a primary doc control data base, and a center for information to include up-to-date plans with linked RFIs. We also utilize the submittals for distribution and comments between the project team, quickly and efficiently, without worrying about the size of files for distribution.
Pros
- Functionality.
- Ease of use.
- Document control management.
Cons
- RFI & Submittal Tools more integrated, seeing the same functions within both tools, especially with the use of contractor submission, RFIs can be started by the contractor, then go to the RFI manager for review and processing, this should be available in the same sense with the Submittals tool, where right now its a little too open for subs to enter their data and it bypass the submittal manager.
- Naming conventions of pictures, when utilizing the photos tool within the Procore App, the name of the file is what the phone prepopulates, this should be easily updated, or an option to name it based on the description or date. When it comes to the end of the project and the administrator extracts the photos for the owners, it would make it a lot nicer of a presentation to have this function be a little more cohesive.
- Saves time.
We have not utilized an integration with a third-party software with Procore.
The daily logs section is really effective at saving time, you can copy information from days prior to save on resubmission of equipment, labor, and notes, if there is an overlap in activity. Additionally its really easy to add pictures to the activities, from the photos tool. Probably the part that helps the most is that the mobile app has a great daily log tool that makes it easy to add information to the log right then and there, no need to write it down then add it later when in the office.
