Great choice for product managers
Overall Satisfaction with productboard
ProductBoard (as the name suggests) is mainly being used by the product management team as means to manage roadmaps of multiple products (some in development and some already developed).
But viewing is not limited to the product team, the entire organization refers to the productboard as a means to get the answer "what's coming next" and "when is a feature scheduled".
We are currently implementing a productboard for any client of the organization to see a high-level overview of what our plans are next year.
Another important aspect is to track what features are in progress and what's complete. This can be done either manually or in integration with Jira and other SaaS applications within the productboard.
The product team uses it to manage and update the roadmap with various metrics like priority, effort, etc.

Pros
- Roadmap Management - Add/update the existing roadmap
- Progress Tracking - Track development progress of various features on the roadmap
- Gathering insights - Connect different sources to gather insights into a feature on the roadmap.
Cons
- Integration with other tools like Asana etc.
- Publishing release notes for new updates
- Desktop application for better usage
- Roadmap
- Priority Management
- Product Portal
- ProductBoard is expensive, per user/month so ROI is not that great
- It is very useful the organization to view the roadmap
- It is mainly useful if someone dedicated (depending on the size of the product) is keeping it updated.
- Aha! and Atlassian JIRA Align (formerly AgileCraft)
Productboard is more feature-rich. It has very intuitive to use and can be connected to various applications. Showcasing your roadmap is very easy and collaboration is very easy as well.
Productboard has great UX features where you can see the roadmap in multiple ways with different parameters enabled/disabled.
