Overall Satisfaction with Projectplace

Projectplace is being used across a number of departments in our company. The marketing team uses it; some of the sales and management team use it along with some of the finance team members. In my team, it enables us all to see what needs to be done, what has been done, and what areas we still need to work on. I like the archiving function as it allows you to go back through and verify that something has been complete if you forget! It's also good to be able to see comments on tasks and see who has contributed. We use English, and just in England. At the moment we only use it in one location, however, we have two external sales reps, Northern and Southern who are not based in the main office. In the long term, it would be good to get the guys using it as well so we have all tasks in one place and all viewable.

It is good that you can have different boards for different areas of the business and different projects.

It's simple to use which helps when implementing new systems, especially in a business where change isn't always welcomed!
  • Easy to use - it's simple to get your head round and doesn't take hours of looking into/hours of video tutorials to watch.
  • Effective - you can set dates on tasks for when they should be finished, and it sends an email when the task is overdue. You can see when each task is due.
  • Multiple Boards/projects - it doesn't restrict you to just one board/project. You can have multiple teams using it and not all have to see everything.
  • Colours - would be good to introduce some colour for different people maybe so it's easy to see at a glance who each task is assigned to (if the images aren't clear).
  • It has enabled us to complete projects effectively and track progress.
  • It allows us to have a clear view at all times of projects, to see what we have on the go, and what needs to be done.
  • It is good for engaging staff/employees in with a task, they can clearly see what they have to do and where they should be working/what they should be working on.
We actually also use Todoist along side projects place. We use Projectplace for managing projects and long term goals, and we use Todoist for daily and smaller tasks. Todoist doesn't have an easy way for managing the larger projects and that is why we use Projectplace for this. Projectplace is good for having lots of projects all on the go.
It's good for when you have a project that needs finishing within a certain date, and also good for ongoing projects as you can have tasks set in urgent, ongoing, future, done etc. You can see at a glance which tasks are needing immediate attention, which tasks are less important and just need completing within the future, and which tasks are going to be on the go for a while and are being worked on.
