Overall Satisfaction with Prophix
Prophix is being used to manage workflows for budget and forecasting purposes. At one point we used hundreds of Excel templates to manage this process, but thanks to Prophix we have one system that can manage it all. Users can also see their monthly tracking by logging in through the system.

In our business, we use staging tables to prep the data to be loaded into Prophix. We then run processes to pull and transform the data once it is in Prophix. We pull from multiple systems to report and forecast data through Prophix. It has given us the tools we need.
Deployment was very important. We at the time wanted it to be on-premise on our servers because at the time that is how our business stored everything. Now we are moving away from that structure and Prophix has given us the flexibility to move to the cloud when we are ready.
Other parts of our company have used Hyperion. I have not used it but only seen it in action. From what I can tell, Prophix is a more user-friendly software and better for the base users who may not all be full accountants using the system along with us.
