Overall Satisfaction with Prophix
Currently, Prophix is being used by our Accounting and Finance teams. All of our budgeting and rolling forecasts are done within Prophix. We are now able to easily budget & forecast based on actual historical data that we bring into Prophix from Great Plains on a daily basis. It also uploads any data that we have collected from outside sources from the field to be used within our budgeting and forecasting. In addition, we produce multiple finance reports for internal and external purposes using Prophix. Our data that is brought into Prophix from Great Plains and our budget data housed within the program are used to quickly produce monthly financial reports.

Prophix has given us the ability to completely remove Excel from our budgeting processes. We are able to budget based on actuals that are housed within Prophix, use templates for data entry along with using ad hocs for data entry. Reports and templates can now be used for reviewing budgets.
Prophix has reduced our budget & forecast cycles, along with the manual work that was required to produce monthly and annual financial reports. Our company is continuously learning & evolving within Prophix.
Prophix a great solution to many needs. We might only use Prophix for financials but the software does not stop there. Our company just hasn't had the opportunity to discover other uses that would benefit us.
Prophix is a great solution for any company that is still using Excel for budget reporting or forecasting. Prophix is a user-friendly solution to get away from Excel. It reduces the likelihood of human error, data becoming corrupt, in addition to the need for long and complicated formulas. Prophix also allows a company that has multiple divisions or children companies to budget and forecast in different ways that suit that company's needs but then be able to bring all the different data together to create a consolidated budget.
