Overall Satisfaction with PRTG Network Monitor
It is very easy to use in any type of network infrastructure. The free version of the software provides at least 10 sensors which a basic network setup requires. It is easy to integrate and view. The licensing model for PRTG Network Monitor is also good. We can buy a set of sensors and then can use them as and when needed.

- It has graphical monitoring tools
- In licensed version you get almost all the features and it is pay per feature
- It is windows based specifically, so gives issue on Linux systems
- Managing too many Linux machines causes issues
- Graphs showing the status
- Weekly logs available
- Alert mails
- Keeping a continuous watch helps us identify any network outages
- Thus reducing any downtimes
- Device hardware status is known easily and its performance
I have only used it once and found it good also. But whatever things I wanted, I got them from PRTG Network Monitor; so basically, my purpose was over, so further R&D was not required. I adhered with the PRTG Network Monitor tool only happily. Many other tools are also available in the market.
