Overall Satisfaction with Pure Storage FlashArray

Support staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, including sending engineers on site for education and technical work on the devices.
Our organization uses multiple Pure flash arrays across multiple environments, servicing multiple needs from datastore volumes to SQL clustered disks. The device provide us with fast, reliable storage, and the ability to scale out our environments thanks to the compression and deduplication that Pure Storage provides across the entire array.
  • Easy to use and configure GUI interface
  • High rate of compression/deduplication allows for lots of storage.
  • Great customer and technical support.
  • GUI could use some added functionality only found in Pure1 or the CLI
  • A single Pure Array was able to replace multiple other storage arrays, allowing for consolidation.
As the GUI is very clean and easy to use, provisioning new volumes and adding storage to new hosts is very quick and easy to do, requiring in most cases only a few clicks and names. Due to the small amount of routine maintenance, the user is able to focus more on other tasks instead of maintaining the storage array.
Take advantage of the provided customer and technical support, as the support staff are very knowledgeable and easy to work with.

Take advantage of the Pure1 console, as the console provides many useful pieces of information and statistics.
  • We were able to implement Intellisnap functionality in Commvault utilizing Pure Storage.
Pure Storage FlashArrays are well suited for cloud service provider companies that need scalable solutions for multiple customers and use cases. Also well suited when trying to build a fast SAN. Pure Storage Flash Arrays may not be well suited for smaller organizations who do not have a use case for flash storage, due to their higher cost.
