Overall Satisfaction with Qlik Sense

Qlik is used across the organization. It is used in most divisions and most departments. It limits data silos and improves coherency. At the touch of the button, people have access to millions of rows of data.
  • Easy to build model.
  • Making selections in multiple filters.
  • In memory speed.
  • Large data sizes.
  • Set analysis is tricky.
  • Can be challenging for people to build their own stuff.
  • Limited geospatial reporting out of the box.
  • It is challenging to say as it is deeply embedded and people take it for granted.
  • Gives nice reporting options.
  • All levels of employees can easily gain insights.
The in memory model is great. The build in multitude of charts helps a lot. The initial learning curve can be steep. It only accepts a nice model. The associative engine is powerfull. Power BI on the other hand has a low cost of purchase. People can experiment with it. Many organizations already have a Microsoft toolset.
Medium size data sets. Clean data. Star schema. Good charts for various options. Nice KPI's. Flexible color schemes. Where it falls short is dirty data. Also, it struggles with big data. It can be hard for end-users to come to grips with models that are slightly more complex than average.
