Overall Satisfaction with Qualtrics
We use Qualtrics for surveys and experiments of the public and of specific organizations that we are partnering with. It is used across our entire university. It is a useful research tool for primary social science research and for applied research of organizations and communities.
- Participant management: Easy to load participant information, and to manage survey recruitment
- Surveys: Intuitive and easy to design surveys
- Survey Logic: Several tools to make it easy to customize surveys based on your needs
- Reports: While this feature has improved over time, I still find it to be not to have as much customization as I'd like
- Using Qualtrics has made collaboration within the university and outside with other universities and organizations very easy.
- Using Qualtrics has made the process of data collection go more quickly than alternatives.
- GfK, YouGov and SurveyMonkey
Other survey firms such as GfK and YouGov program your surveys for you. I prefer using Qualtrics to have complete quality control over the programming. However, I like that GfK and YouGov develop their own quality pool of respondents; Qualtrics, on the other hand, contracts out their recruiting of participants (although you do not have to use thier participants).
