Overall Satisfaction with Quick Base

Our work is entered via a third-party platform. The platform is helpful to the end user in our company, but not a productive tool for our management structure. We capture the data entered into these third-party platforms and re-package the content for the end user and our management teams. We also use our Quick Base as quality performance data gathering, tracking, and monthly and annual performance analysis. We use it for a multitude of tracking of employment functions from corrective action to employee leaves.

The use of the features and functions within Quick Base give us the ability to customize our uses but also provides freedoms for users at all levels to customize for their own unique needs. It provides us with the ability to teach users to re-package the content in the means and methods that are most beneficial for them to stay current and on top of projects.
  • Customizable reports, reminders, and monitoring.
  • Ongoing commitment to improved performance, functionality, and flexibility to the platform.
  • Helpful, responsive, and professional support.
  • Greater ease (supported walk through) for development of personalized pages, reports, and layout
  • Removal of all content added when a relationship is built, but subsequently removed
  • When fields are added, forms created, or changes are made, it can be difficult to see the relationship between what you are changing and what else may be impacted. A way to see a relationship between reports, filters, or other fields when a field is being added or changed.
The ability to take your spreadsheet data, import it into a table, and then set up what fields, what layout, what access, you want for that data is fast, easy, and simple to achieve. Within minutes, you can take a standalone spreadsheet and incorporate that into your platform and make available to all appropriate staff.
  • WebEx
WebEx provided similar structure, but did not offer relationships, importing, and many other capabilities. It ended up serving only a portion of our needs and left us vulnerable to timely completion of work concerns. We did like the folder structure for our "Document Library" and was able to partially construct that layout when we came to Quick Base, but the other benefits more than made up for the lack of a true folder structure that Quick Base did not offer.
Building relationships, functionality for pulling data from multiple tables into one table, and other similar higher functionality within Quick Base required some third-party support to become familiar with the ins and outs of how that works within Quick Base. For simple projects, such as due date tracking, quality performance templates, and other simple functions is fast, easy, and simple to build, design, and implement.
  • Building and deploying business applications faster
  • Improving our ability to drive insights from our data
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
  • Solving a specific business challenge
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
As mentioned, we use Quick Base and test the limits, in my mind. We use the platform to enter dates where support staff is needed, the system notifies staff available to help and they sign up to support that meeting. We use Quick Base to complete a multitude of performance reviews rating staff performance. These reviews are then pulled into a related table that provides a picture of all of those reviews in one location to then complete a performance review with out staff. Additional projects include: Staffing Needs, Staff Leaves, Customer Data and Documents, and much more.
Example Apps have been very useful when looking at the implementation of new projects. We have used Document Library, Many-to-Many and Time Card Apps as the basis for our development of Apps with similar functionality to meet our needs. Once you have a basic understanding of Quickbase and review the functionality built into the APp, it is fast and easy to make any necessary changes to the App and implement to meet your specific needs.
We push the limits of our Quick Base. The ability for it to send more "reminders" across all available needs would be more useful for us. The ability for Quick Base to more effectively "mimic" the replacement of a document library (the ability to easily create folders and folder structures).
