Overall Satisfaction with Quick Base

Our work is entered via a third-party platform. The platform is helpful to the end user in our company, but not a productive tool for our management structure. We capture the data entered into these third-party platforms and re-package the content for the end user and our management teams. We also use our Quick Base as quality performance data gathering, tracking, and monthly and annual performance analysis. We use it for a multitude of tracking of employment functions from corrective action to employee leaves.

The use of the features and functions within Quick Base give us the ability to customize our uses but also provides freedoms for users at all levels to customize for their own unique needs. It provides us with the ability to teach users to re-package the content in the means and methods that are most beneficial for them to stay current and on top of projects.

Pros

  • Customizable reports, reminders, and monitoring.
  • Ongoing commitment to improved performance, functionality, and flexibility to the platform.
  • Helpful, responsive, and professional support.

Cons

  • Greater ease (supported walk through) for development of personalized pages, reports, and layout
  • Removal of all content added when a relationship is built, but subsequently removed
  • When fields are added, forms created, or changes are made, it can be difficult to see the relationship between what you are changing and what else may be impacted. A way to see a relationship between reports, filters, or other fields when a field is being added or changed.
  • WebEx
WebEx provided similar structure, but did not offer relationships, importing, and many other capabilities. It ended up serving only a portion of our needs and left us vulnerable to timely completion of work concerns. We did like the folder structure for our "Document Library" and was able to partially construct that layout when we came to Quick Base, but the other benefits more than made up for the lack of a true folder structure that Quick Base did not offer.
We push the limits of our Quick Base. The ability for it to send more "reminders" across all available needs would be more useful for us. The ability for Quick Base to more effectively "mimic" the replacement of a document library (the ability to easily create folders and folder structures).
