Overall Satisfaction with QuickBase

It is being used across our entire organization. It was designed to be a CRM system that tracked a process from Sales to Reconciliation. It acts as a revenue tool for as well an operational tool to manage projects. It's similar to what Salesforce is with a little more flexibility in development and much less in cost.
  • Managing statuses on projects.
  • Tracking and surfacing up financial reporting - so that it is not a manual task.
  • Organizing and centralizing information as it relates to our programs.
  • UI needs a little work to be more friendly - including navigation.
  • Needs more innate modules, functions or apps - we tend to have to work other vendors who can implement into the system.
We have. Quickbase has a great support team and a robust community to help aid in the development of the system. Beside that - there is a number of vendors who are well versed in the system who can help with advanced development.
Quickbase is pretty nimble in most areas. It's cheaper than most solutions - and has thought of a lot of the basic project management and financials scenarios. Pretty easy to use straight out of the box.
The level of difficulty is low. If you have basic skills in programming and project management - you will be able to use this system to its fullest. The basic fundamentals as a citizen developer coupled with the community resources and support really position citizen developers to take their coding to the next level.
  • Building and deploying business applications faster
  • Improving our ability to drive insights from our data
  • Improving collaboration across one or more teams
  • Solving a specific business challenge
  • Building and deploying an application (or multiple applications) that meets our exact needs
We built an application which was a calendar - we needed to add new products and functions based on how we were selling.
When it came time to add them in - we were able to do that without any stumbling blocks.
I think the publisher industry - especially on the advertising side - is an untapped market for QuickBase. If they were to understand that industry a little better - there is a bed of untapped new clients they can approach to develop a new market.
