Overall Satisfaction with Quickbase
We track work from our sub or through our customer. They issue us work and we manage it from start to finish. From inception, we build out work order packages. We price the work that we do. We do so many things in the system. We monitor quality, we monitor the actual tasking and pricing of it, we do environmental, there's so many different functions we use the product to track. And then we also track customer metrics. Our customer that we deal with, they have their own metrics that they use for us, and we have those same tracking features within the system.
- Quickbase is really easy to use. It's super easy to build reports.
- It's really easy to build customized dashboards for individual team members.
- I have about around 10 people on my team that each one needs to have a customized dashboard and be able to see specific forms per se. So I really like how easy I can build something and build it out and modify it and match it up for that individual user. That's probably one of the best things that I like about it.
- I don't really see any cons. A lot of the stuff I see is more so positive. I've never really seen anything where I'm like, "I wish you could do this", or "I wish you could do that". I mean, there's little things here and there, but I can't think offhand. The positives outweigh the negatives.
- I would say as far as visibility goes on our schedule. Our customer actually just called me today and wanted me to report out on why we're so successful and why we don't have a lot of cancellations with reschedules with our work. And one of the things I was able to tell them is with how organized we are with the way that we've built the app. I can tell when pre-construction is ready to go or when a job is not ready to go and it needs to be on hold for a little bit longer. So it's really helped out a lot. And the customer notices it too.
I would say as far as siloing, you really have all the information there. Quickbase is the opposite of a silo. Especially what we have is almost like information overload, but you're able to use something from one table and share it on another. So you're really able to disseminate a lot of information across the organization and customize it to every single user. And then that'll allow them to make informed decisions.
I would say for hybrid work, for us, during the pandemic I was able to work almost 100% remotely. So it's really nice. All of our information, everything our company does is in Quickbase. We use it for employee records, for payroll, for managing our work, everything. So literally, I mean, there's only one thing I think that I could think of that we don't use it for, but that's just because it's a company requirement just for a specific portion of billing. But for everything else, I would say it's 100% supportable through hybrid work.
I would say for project management, I'm able to build customized metrics. These are the same metrics our customer grades us on. I'm able to use Quickbase to mimic the customer's metrics for us. So I already know how we're doing for this month, for incoming months. From a project management perspective, I can see everyone, what my team is working on based on my dashboard, and I can make informed decisions with what my employees are doing daily. So it's very, very good project management software.
