Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Used to keep the books for 5 different enterprises.

Pros and Cons

Easy to use - Intuitve
Easy to customize
Allows multiple users

Sometimes the shared database engine gets messed up and the server needs to be restarted - that shouldn't happen
Deep reporting and analysis tools are severely lacking
Security is not as tight as I would prefer
Really wish it would prompt to take credits and discounts when paying bills

Return on Investment

Best bang for the buck
Not terribly expensive considering what you get

It was already implemented when I came on the scene.

It gets the job done and does the basics well while being easy for new users to use. QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is well-suited for companies that need to have many users working at the same time. If you only have 1 or 2 users, then it is overkill.
