Overall Satisfaction with QuickBooks Online
We use QuickBooks Online for accounting and printing checks. As a small agency, staff members wear many hats. The online version is intuitive to use, and the reporting functions are particularly helpful. I would recommend it as a tool to assist in building capacity. It also makes audits easier. The budget vs. actuals is helpful in particular. It's good for payroll and reminds you when it's time to pay taxes and employees. The only drawbacks are that it doesn't allow for cash flow analysis, and it charges extra for some of the advanced options.
- Payroll and reminding you when it's time to file various taxes, setting up payroll is easy too.
- Easy to navigate chart of accounts.
- Really love the reports, in particular the budget versus actuals which helps our board to get a handle on the finances easily. Makes financial reporting easier.
- Online access can be limited to certain functions; great for audits.
- Don't charge extra for certain functions, e.g. direct deposit.
- Make it possible to print payroll checks using electronic checks (3 per page).
- Develop cash flow planning tool.
