Overall Satisfaction with Read&Write

We use Read&Write in our school district to better help provide needed accessibility to our students. It is used not only with SPED, but also general education.

Pros

  • Providing a readily accessible dictionary
  • Reading text aloud to students
  • Marking up what is shown onscreen

Cons

  • Less resources required to run on older/slower devices
  • Expandable/collapsible toolbar
  • It has freed up staff to be able to help in other classroom areas
It has provided a more universal approach to computer-provided learning support that spans platforms and websites.
A student that started the year struggling with reading has shown immense improvement through extra practice and utilizing the program to help reinforce their weak areas.
Read&Write has been one of our first programs and we are very happy with it.
