Overall Satisfaction with Recurly

Recurly is used primarily in the finance department. It provides a smooth experience for users to make purchases and provides automatic recurring billing. The Dunning cycle also helps with accounts receivables collection which frees up valuable time and shortens the A/R turnover cycle. Recurly provides useful reports for the accounting and leadership team.
  • Recurring billing
  • Collection
  • Subscription management
  • Integration with other software
  • Recording of external payment
  • Customization of Dunning
  • Reduced A/R turnover cycle
Recurly provides far superior recurring billing services. It allows for more sophisticated subscription setup than QuickBooks Online can provide. However, Recurly is not as skilled at invoice customization as QuickBooks Desktop Pro or QuickBooks Online. There is no ability to backdate invoices in Recurly whereas QuickBooks allows you to do so.
It is well suited for companies with a monthly or annual subscription model who have many customers paying via credit card.
It is less appropriate for service companies that charge by the hour or have an inventoried product. The invoice interface in Recurly would be hard to customize to meet these business needs.
