Overall Satisfaction with Red Hat OpenShift

We use Red Hat OpenShift daily. It is our first option to go when we need to deploy microservices for any type of project. This give us the opportunity to have a centralized standardized way to deploy our services. It is a very strong solution in which besides working very good, have a great support and community you can trust.

Pros

  • Resource management
  • Architecture simplicity
  • Easy to manage

Cons

  • Modern UI
  • A defined routemap
  • Better init tutorial
  • Improve productivity
  • Stability on cost
  • Decreased downtime
My use case with Red Hat OpenShift it's quite simple. We have our code in github as I think majority of people and there we have our github action in which we establish the pipelines to deploy our services in Red Hat OpenShift. We have all the configuration in the charts, templates, etc in the code and just by pushing to the branch everything works!
In my case I can only talk about the Red Hat OpenShift on premise version, because we use other solutions to make our services visibles from the exterior... And it's great, we can just deploy on our services, connect with LDAP to have user management and it's ready to go! Easy.
We explore a lot of services to use in. But in todays world everything is cloud and the on premise solutions are not very strong until we discover Red Hat OpenShift which still very committed to maintain on premise solutions, we select Openshift and since first day we are very happy.

Do you think Red Hat OpenShift delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Red Hat OpenShift's feature set?

Yes

Did Red Hat OpenShift live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Red Hat OpenShift go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Red Hat OpenShift again?

Yes

It is difficult to thing where Red Hat OpenShift can't be appropriate. In this days every software you make is a microservice that needs to be deploy in a Kubernetes like solution... even when you can have a monolithic, business go with microservices. You can have others solutions but if you can afford this one. This is your goat.
